Valley Shotokan is a member of SHOTOKAN KARATE OF AMERICA (S.K.A.), the oldest karate organization in America, established in 1955.

Valley Shotokan, like the S.K.A., maintains a nonprofit status and teaches karate-do (the way of Karate) as a martial art.

The goal of martial arts practice is not only to develop advanced fighting skills, but to polish one’s character in the process.
