These "success"
attributes come about as a natural byproduct of diligent karate
practice. Our young members not only acquire advanced fighting skills,
but also develop mental, emotional, and psychological stability.
Lessons learned in the dojo extend into each member's everyday life.
The young members
of Valley Shotokan are encouraged to study hard, get good
grades in school, listen to their parents, keep the dojo clean,
say "no" to drugs, and stay away from gangs.
The children
that practice on a regular basis will, in time, be able to apply
the principles of success being taught at the dojo to their daily
lives.
The end result is that the young
people who devote themselves to karate practice will have a better
chance of living happy and productive lives.
Hopefully, our
young members will go on to share and demonstrate the rules of successful
living with the next generation.
We look forward
to many young people enjoying the benefits of training in Shotokan
Karate and becoming long time members of Valley Shotokan.
